 Welcome to my FAQ page, where I address some common questions about my notary public and loan signing services. If you have any additional inquiries, please feel free to contact me.

What is a Notary Public?

A notary public is a state-appointed official who serves as an impartial witness to the signing of important documents. We verify the identity of signers and their awareness/willingness to sign, administer oaths, and ensure the documents are executed correctly. executed correctly.

What types of identification are California approved forms of ID?

1. Driver's license or ID card issued in the United        States, Cananda, or Mexico. 

2. Passport

3. Inmate ID card issued by California Dept of            Corrections or Sheriff's Dept (local detention facilities only)

4. U.S Military ID card 

5. CA state employee ID

6. ID card issued by Federally recognized tribal          land.

 

*All forms of ID must contain photo, physical description, signature and serial number.

If expired it must have been issued within the last 5 years.

What is a Loan Signing Agent?

 A Loan Signing Agent specializes in facilitating the signing of mortgage and real estate loan documents. I ensure that borrowers understand and complete these documents correctly during the loan closing process.

 1. How does the notarization process work? The notarization process involves verifying the identity of signers, ensuring they understand the document, and then witnessing the signing. We'll also attach an official seal and signature to the document to confirm its authenticity.

 

2. What should I have for my Notary appointment? Please have a government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver's license, passport) and all documents, even the ones that do not require a signature. To help prevent fraud, I need to see how many pages there are to the document for recording purposes.  Do not sign the documents in advance, as I need to witness your signature.

 

3What types of documents can you notarize? I can notarize a wide range of documents, including but not limited to: Loan documents, real estate transactions, power of attorney forms, wills and trusts, vehicle titles, medical/travel documents, affidavits and more.

 

4. Are you certified and insured? Yes, I am a certified notary public and loan signing agent, fully bonded and insured to provide you with professional and secure services.

 

5. Is Notarization Legally Binding? Yes, notarization adds a layer of authenticity and legality to documents. It confirms that the signer willingly entered into the agreement or transaction and was properly identified.

 

6. Can you travel to my location for notarization? Yes, I offer mobile notary services. I can come to your home, office, or another location for your convenience.

 

7. How Much Does Notary and Loan Signing Services Cost? Fees vary based on the type and number of documents that need notarization or loan signing. Please contact me for a personalized quote.

 

8.  What areas do you serve? I serve Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Amador, and Yolo counties. Contact me to confirm my availability in your specific location.
